RTV Tooling and Polyurethane Casting

If only a few plastic parts are needed as part of a limited run production, RTV tooling may be the best solution. Using an SLA master pattern, RTV (Room Temperature Vulcanized) rubber tools are created and used to cast polyurethane duplicates. These duplicates can be painted and textured to simulate injection-molded parts. We also provide liquid injection polyurethane casting around pre-existing metal parts.

RTV tooling is inexpensive, offers good accuracy and finish, and the parts produced are adequate for prototypes or small production runs.Painting and other secondary decorations can result in parts that are suitable for marketing decorations and trade show samples.
